About the Role:
The ChromaDex External Research Program (CERP) (formerly ChromaDex’ MTA Program) was established to advance the science of NR as a novel NAD+ precursor. The program helps to build and support the NAD+ and healthy aging research community with trusted science behind Niagen and continue to advance the understanding of NAD+ in health, diseases and aging.
 
As a member of the CERP core team, the CERP Specialist will support scientists evaluating Niagen Bioscience’s materials by managing global agreements that facilitate its distribution to academic and government scientific experts. In addition, this role will support the review, analysis, and presentation of research proposals and manuscripts to a cross-functional, multidisciplinary review team, as well as contribute to effective scientific communication strategies for both internal and external stakeholders.

Core Expectations:
• Review, analyze, and summarize material request applications, agreement amendments, and progress reports.
• Communicate key findings and updates to relevant stakeholders within the organization.
• Evaluate and summarize preclinical and nonclinical scientific research findings.
• Effectively communicate complex research data to various internal and external audiences through written reports and oral presentations.
• Assist in managing CERP-related projects and optimizing workflow processes within the research and development department.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient execution of initiatives.
• Manage various communications with external scientific investigators, including but not limited to facilitating research material orders and distributing newsletters.
• Serve as a key point of contact to ensure timely and effective information exchange with research partners.
• Participate in meetings and discussions with global research collaborators, which occasionally require accommodating international time zones.

Qualifications and Success Factors:
• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Anatomy and Physiology, Molecular Nutrition, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field). 
• Experience using MS Office 365 and Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). 
• Experience with verbal and written multidisciplinary science communication (with focus on research settings preferred). 

Preferred qualifications:
• Experience using program management software for tracking projects and deliverables. 
• Familiarity with nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) metabolism, its utilization, and its role in health. 
• Understanding of data analysis and visualization tools such as GraphPad Prism. 
• Prior experience in research and development, clinical studies, or scientific affairs related to life sciences.

$60,000 - $80,000 a year
